Photos and scan requests in the app

When you choose a cover photo to scan, the app uses that image to provide the requested identification experience. Review the full app policy for current information handling and retention details.

Website App Store click measurement

When you follow an App Store link, this website sends an anonymous click event to our Cloudflare-hosted service. The event records the UTC date, the page you clicked from, and a broad entry category: search, social, referral, or direct. Each click has a separate random event number; it is not a visitor identifier and is not reused across clicks.

The click records do not contain your IP address, full referring URL, search terms, photo, email address, or device identifier. This measurement does not use cookies. The browser may keep only the broad entry category in session storage for the current tab so it stays consistent when you move between guides. That value is not an identifier and is cleared when the tab session ends.

Click records automatically expire after 90 days. We use totals to understand which pages lead people to the App Store. These counts do not tell us whether someone installed the app. Cloudflare also processes connection information needed to deliver and protect the website, separately from our click records.

Your choices

Website click measurement is skipped when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. App Store links continue to work when measurement or JavaScript is blocked.

You control access to your photo library through your device permissions. Change those permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
